Happy Disability Pride Month

July is National Disability Pride Month!

I am not going to lie, I had no idea this existed until last year but I did some research. On July 26, 1990, President George H. W. Bush passed the Americans with Disabilities Act. The law forbids discrimination against people with disabilities and provides equal opportunity for employment, accommodations, transportation, and many other areas of everyday human activities. I am forever grateful for this law and I hope that inclusion continues to grow in the future. I have an idea on how to celebrate this month, so stay tuned! ;)
